YOU CAN ELIMINATE 3 TOXINS IN LIFE TODAY

Today we are going to review the first two 'T's of subluxation, and then get into the final and third 'T' of subluxation - Toxins and how they affect our daily lives and habits.

As a refresher for our Thoughts (the 1st 'T'), pick 3 words to live by.  What are 3 words you'd be proud to put on your tombstone? Put these 3 words in your phone as a daily reminder to live by.

To decrease the negative effects of repetitive Trauma (the 2nd 'T'), Keep your eyes at the horizon. Get your digital devices at the horizon. Do more back and scapula retraction exercises in your workouts.

The 3rd 'T' is Toxins. What toxins can you eliminate in your life?

1. What ingredients are in your foods? Are they processed, non-GMO and GF? The foods we eat either take away or add toxins. Beets and cruciferous vegetables are great for our kidney and liver health which are filters of our bodies.

HOW CAN BEING A SUPERHERO FOR 1 MINUTE A DAY IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH?

In this video, I go over 2 simple exercises to lower your cortisol, minimize the repetitive trauma in your life and save face on your soft nerve pathways.

Hi! I'm Dr Howard Dennis, Certified High Performance Coach, here to talk about the second of the three T's called trauma.

Did you realize repetitive trauma can be in the form of poor posture for long periods day in day out? Have you ever heard of text neck or low riding it?

Always looking down, shoulders slumped and always being in a flexed posture repetitively for long periods are forms of repetitive trauma.

This affects cortisol, testosterone and chokes soft nerve pathways leading to poor body chemistry and memory loss.

What can you do about it?

1. Keep your eyes at the horizon. Get your computer monitors and mobile devices positioned at the horizon of your field of vision at work and/or play.

Hello Accountability Team!

I'd first like to challenge you to buy a journal for this 30 Day journey.  

Have a daily post of what you can get excited about this day?  Write that down.

Then ask yourself...

What are 3 words I want others to see me as and that I want to see myself as?  What are 3 words to live by?  What are 3 words I would put on my headstone?  Write that down.

Now would you share your 3 words and why you picked them?

Mine are:

(1) Love - It's the greatest of all!

(2) Laughter - Got to be able to laugh at myself.

(3) Fluid - Able to go through or around anything.

Now, put your 3 words in your phone as a daily reminder.  I'd recommend a great transition time for you like right before you start your work day or right before lunch.  Do that now.

Have you ever felt challenged to be in the present?  Ever feel like you’re just running away from things?

I had heard John Maxwell recently talking about how we should never just leave something.  We should always be going towards something.  
 
Wherever you're at choose to love your present situation.
 
I heard we should never leave something without grounding ourselves first.  Then, we should be going towards something greater.  
 
You have heard home is home is where the heart is, or wherever you are there you are?  
 
Honor your present challenges and choose happiness in your moment.

Common sense is not common practice.  Now is all we have and if you want to be more, become more and be more in your present situation, it starts with your choice.

HOW TO BECOME A BETTER INFLUENCER

I recorded this right before the COVID-19 pandemic, but we still live in a world of connection.

We all have a need to feel felt.

When is the last time you helped someone feel felt?

Be a support system for someone.  It's not easy being vulnerable and sharing.

Selfishness, addiction and loneliness can be a vicious cycle of not making the time to reach out and serve others.

  1. Create a pause in your day for someone else and be an ear for them.  Step out of yourself and serve! Whether it's a phone call, text or video chat, Go serve by being an ear.  Reach out.
  2. Show that person your gratitude by telling them how much you appreciate their vulnerability and honesty.

WHO ARE YOUR TOP 10 INFLUENCERS?

Another week is here, and COVID-19 is still a major factor in our lives. There is no immunity to this frustration.  Some new false story, true story and/or restriction seems to come at us everyday.

There's much we can’t control, but we still have plenty of influence.  We can control only the way in which we respond.  This is what will define us.

 So I have a great exercise to help you and me control and influence ourselves and others around us better, but...

First, ask, "How can I serve others at a higher level?"

Then do it!

Now, grab a journal, and list 10 people who've influenced you the most in your life.  Write a brief statement of what they taught you that you'll share with someone else.

4 SEASONS OF A BALANCED LIFE

Are you challenged with balance? Aren't we all especially with this COVID-19 pandemic!

remember my preacher posing the question, "Which one of his 5 girls would he say he loves the most?"  

Should you show favoritism?

Who do you love the most?

Do you love all your children, people of your circle and/or all your family members equally?

Do you love all of the people around you equally?

He stated I love the one the most who needs it the most right then!

To me that's spot on!  

So it's kind of like life, sometimes you have to tend things that may not seem high on your priority list but that may be the most important thing in that moment. There is no balance in this hectic world. Life will never be balanced so to speak.

Life is in seasons. There's Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Spring it's time to get planting those seeds.  Whatever you do, it's time to get to work.  Plant those seeds now.  Reach out and invest concern with...

IMPLEMENT 3 POSITIVE TRIGGERS FOR HAPPINESS AND CONNECTION

Staying on tracking and being focused for the whole day can be a challenge right?   

I'd like to challenge you to implement three positive triggers that'll enrich your life.

Think about addicts. If you are a recovering addict, you need to walk circumspectly throughout your day.  Things you come across can trigger your impulses to go back to that drug, food or whatever behavior you struggle with.

This also works for the good, too.

We can develop triggers with the music we hear, the places we go, and for the people we meet.

Here are 3 positive triggers I challenge you to create for deeper connections, meaning and happiness in life:

  1. Create a positive trigger when you get in and out of your vehicle. At the close of my day when I'm done seeing client members, I get in my truck, pause and wipe the slate clean with a couple of deep breaths.
